EDC took delivery of two ABB ACS880-17-0870A-3+B054 500kW regen drives this week.
Awaiting the customer's inspection in our workshop, they will be replacing existing ABB ACS600 inverters which are over 16 years old. Once sited, the EDC engineers will get to work commissioning the units, taking care of the comms conversion from ACS600 to ACS800 as well as the handover and training for our customer's engineers who'll be looking after the units - for the next 16 years...(at least).
