Often plant doesn't operate at its maximum efficiency due to simple programming errors or incorrect equipment selection. EDC SERVICE SUITCASES FOR ABB DRIVES

EDC holds numerous ABB service cases in stock.

These cases are designed to ensure that engineers have the most common ABB drive spares to hand at all times.

Cases include the: ACS/ACH/ACS800/ACS850 ACS880 and ACQ series. These suitcases can be used in-house, or carried with our engineers for urgent on site repairs. EDC's investment in the service suitcases enables the most common repairs to be effected immediately without costly down time or repeat visits to site. So, in the event of a breakdown, we're ready to attend with the spare parts your VSD will most commonly need. No waiting, no delays, just simple, effective, on-site repairs - carried out by our skilled, ABB-trained engineers.

Inverter retrofits

Adding new technology to an older system can be a complicated procedure (but a cost-effective one). Repairing legacy variable speed drives or working on original installations requires specialist knowledge, preferably from engineers with a panel wiring background. EDC can attend site, diagnose the problem, and either repair or replace the unit - taking care to establish what wiring modifications are required to incorporate a inverter. On completion you will be issued with a set of marked up drawings (or auto cad drawing) of the changes to the 'as built' unit. See our section on Control Gear retrofits.

Cabling design   

Experienced wiremen can reconfigure your existing panel layout whilst optimising the use of both space and functionality within your schematics. Panels can be assembled to your exact requirements - taking into account both airflow and application -  using ABB components and fully tested prior to delivery.

Creating cabinets to your customised requirements

As an ABB Authorized Value Provider and suppliers of ABB drives & components, EDC can source the best quality products for your cabinet build. Your panel can then be wired and laid out to your requirements with all options integral to the enclosure. All of the work is fully EMC compliant and is undertaken by Engineers qualified to IEE17th Edition.
