Five drives down? Whodunnit??
When a water plant was suffering VSD breakdowns they called in the DART (Drive Analysis and Remote Telemetry) team. Could DART score a bullseye and point the finger of blame at the perpetrator of the breakdowns?
With 24/7 reporting of the drive and the ambient surroundings (it was set to monitor temperature, humidity, particulate matter and H2S), it got to work, measuring, monitoring, tracking down the possible culprits.
It soon sniffed out the suspect and had him ‘bang to rights’ with its data monitoring.
Measures were then put in place to keep the variable speed drives safe from this malevolent marauder.
