A team from EDC Scotland Ltd was proud and excited to attend the Lord Lieutenant Awards in Glasgow this February to collect their Bronze Award as part of the Employee Recognition Scheme (ERS).
The scheme is part of an initiative promoted by Lowland RFCA (Reserve Forces and Cadets Association) for forces-friendly organisations. It dates from 2014 when the Prime Minister launched it to reward and recognise UK employers for their support and commitment towards those in the defence community, taking a positive stance toward reservists who are either existing or prospective employees.
Receiving their award from Naval Regional Commander for Scotland and Northern Ireland, Brigadier Andy Muddiman, David Kerr (far left), our Technical Director commented: "On behalf of EDC I would like to thank everyone who made us so welcome when we received our Bronze Award in such a terrific venue. All three of us attending from EDC have been overwhelmed by the receipt of this award.
We are all so proud of our support and connection with the Armed Forces and look forward to what I am confident will be a strong and lasting working relationship with the defence community."
