EDC's 'Drives Dream Team' set to run North East Branch as ABB's AVP

As ABB's newly appointed Authorized Value Provider for drives in the north-east of England, EDC can now bring you unparalleled levels of sales, service, support & stock.

EDC NE's official opening, attended by ABB, including Pete Myatt - ABB's UK Channel Manager for drives and Sami Jarvinen - ABB Sales Manger, North Europe Area Sales.

Our fully-stocked north-east premises (offering sales, service contracts, hire drives, drive repair and carrying ABB service suitcases) will be headed up by two luminaries of the drives world: Neil Keenan and Matthew Hutton.

Neil Keenan: Technical Service Manager of EDC (North East) Ltd. One man; six generations of ABB drives. The role: responsible for overseeing servicing, repair, installation and training at our new branch in Gateshead. For over 30 years Neil has installed, commissioned, serviced and repaired variable speed drives. Working on every application imaginable, he has an encyclopedic knowledge of programming, parameter settings and fault-finding. In short, Neil has spent three decades becoming acquainted with ABB VSDs - inside and outside.They are his passion. Well-known and respected within the VSD industry, his ability at fault finding, diagnosing and repairing variable speed drives is legendary (and deservedly so). Commented Neil:"I'm excited to start a new challenge with EDC (North East) and I'm really looking forward to working with the team, serving the north east area and continuing the growth of an already well-established business".

Matthew Hutton: Technical External Sales and Business Development Manager. One man; every ABB VSD training course. The role: establishing business relationships, working with customers to offer solutions to problems and ensuring their systems are running efficiently in order to reduce energy costs. Matthew has almost 10 years’ experience supporting customers with ABB Drives. Having completed every ABB Drives training course available, his product knowledge is not only up to date, but second to none. He is literally the 'Doctor of ABB drives'. Recently, he visited the ABB Drives Centre of Excellence factory in Finland to further expand his already extensive knowledge of variable speed drives. Adds Matt: "I'm delighted to be starting this new role and I’m confident we can continue to deliver the top level of service & expertise EDC has been providing since 1996."
